Catching Up

Sunshine, a beach, and a friendship that has lasted over 8 years now. I couldn't ask for a better weekend to catch up and go back to the simple days with a best friend through high school, undergrad, and now the real world. We managed to get a low-cost place to stay and just enjoyed the simple pleasures such as corn-hole on the beach. Everyone even got to see & "appreciate" small town USA with the scenic route home! Since I took on the role as navigator, I convinced convinced everyone that we could make the drive 50 miles shorter by taking state and US highways vs the Interstate system. However, I conveniently left out the part that we would be driving through stop lights and town traffic, forcing them out of their comfort zones of the Interstate. I think everyone had a good time, even if they couldn't bring themselves to say so. Reflecting on the past few days, I'm filled with happiness that everything came together to give us an unforgettable weekend!
